Implantable telemetry system

The telemetry system implanted into experimental animals can be used for long-term collection and monitoring of diversified physiological signals (e.g. various bioelectrical signals, blood pressure and temperature signal) of conscious, unbound and unrestrained experiment animals. This system also realizes the function of programmed electrical stimulation: stimulation electrode is implanted into the animal and the stimulation is controlled by a program. Structure and shape of stimulation electrode as well as control program of stimulation can be selected and set according to experimental requirements. Stimulation software can achieve functions such as starting, shutting down, standby and program regulation & control as per requirements of actual stimulation scheme; furthermore, implementation of these functions can be synchronized with collecting and recording system of each physiological signal. Receiver installed in this telemetry system has a function of wireless signal receiving. Each receiver can simultaneously receive physiological signals of six experimental animals and complete the electric stimulation set for the animals. As the animals are not restricted by anesthesia, constraint, in vitro catheter or lead during operation of this system, researchers can obtain the most accurate and authentic data. This system is compatible with host interface and analysis software of a third party, for conducting random analysis, statistical analysis and display processing of original recording data. For this system, the optional independently-developed remote control software is also available. Customers can read data of the animal experiment in progress by means of nonlocal internet access. In this way, remote multi-channel recording data displaying and remote monitoring and stimulation is achieved.

This system is applicable to following types of experimental animals: mouse, rabbit, dog, swine, monkey, and etc.

System components included: implant, receiver, recorder, computer, stimulation programming software (optional), remote control module (optional) and related accessories.
